The Hermosa Shorts Film Festival -

In a happy turn of events, we learned that another film that we worked on, "Lesson 5, " would be screening locally at The Hermosa Shorts Film Festival on the same night (August 10) as Crested Butte. The director, Stephen Carr had seen "Marlena" and hired Daniel and Brigitte to shoot and star, respectively. We were glad that we got a chance to support the film and see it on the big screen. It also screened at DC Shorts in 2007. Click here to check out his terrific film.

We really enjoyed attending The Big Island Film Festival in Hawaii. Of course the weather and settings were beautiful, and the people were just as warm. We also met some wonderful filmmakers at the events.

The Reno Film Festival -

"Marlena" made its festival premiere at The Reno Film Festival. They do an excellent job of taking care of the filmmakers who attend and we really appreciated their hospitality. All of the films in the shorts program were unique and enjoyable. They also hosted some great forums that allowed us to answer audience questions about filmmaking. We met a nice group of fellow filmmakers and had a great time.
